KIDS CAN KATCH FISHING POND AND BENEFIT AUCTION

Give a child the gift of the outdoors! Support the creation of a children’s catch-and-release fishing pond in the City of Calgary.

Date: Wednesday June 17th, 2009

Location: Hotel Arts, 119 - 12th Avenue SW, Calgary

Time: Doors open at 5 PM, Dinner at 7 PM
Live and silent auction viewing and bidding, and raffle ticket sales

Price: $200 per ticket; tables of 8 or 10 available.

Join the Honourable Ted Morton, Minister of Sustainable Development and Mr. Ralph Klein, Honorary Chair of the Kids Can Katch Committee at the Kids Can Katch Fundraising Banquet and Auction.

A group of like-minded conservation groups, individuals and businesses are fundraising to create a kid’s catch and release fishing pond! Located in front of the Sam Livingston Fish Hatchery, adjacent to the Ducks Unlimited Canada marsh, which is part of the Pearce Estate Park Interpretive Wetland – the pond will provide youth in the neighbourhood and across the city a chance to get involved in fishing in a safe and supportive environment.
